Lachie McKenzie is a well known top end permaculturist and community gardener, and we are chuffed that he has been an Advisor to RIG Network from our early days.

Lachie is currently working with colleagues from Timor Leste to update and republish (free) the Tropical Permaculture Guidebook. It is a great, trusted resource and promises to be even better with the work that Lachie and colleagues are now investing in it to update, renew and republish it! SO…please contribute to the Crowd Funding appeal for the project!!!….

A little bit of context

The story of the project: The original 400 page Permaculture Guidebook from East Timor has been an outstanding success. First published in 2006 by Permatil and authored by Lachlan McKenzie and Ego Lemos, an updated version was produced in 2008 and three subsequent re-printings of the updated Tetum language versions.

The guidebook provides knowledge, techniques and skills that will reduce the severity of global climate change and provide adaptation and resilience knowledge and skills to those impacted the most by climate change and who are the least able to afford expensive solutions.
