Native Honey Bees – Honey production, can you help?

Do you know of projects or have you experience in setting up Native Honey bee hives to produce honey? A Network member from the Kimberley is seeking advice about ‘how to’. Can you help? please email us rig@remoteindigenousgardens.net if you can help.

“Hello, I am aware that several aboriginal communities in the NT, and perhaps elsewhere, are well advanced in their efforts to (a) construct hives,  (b) set up hives, and (c) produce honey.  It would be nice to hear how successful they have been, what  issues and problems they have faced, and how they have overcome the latter”.

    Hi there,
I just found this article about one of your network members looking for help with native bees. I am a keeper of native bees on the Sunshine Coast and would be happy to help if they are still looking for assistance.
