Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation grants open now

The Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation provides grant and other support to assist schools establish gardens as part of an integrated curriculum program that also includes healthy nutrition and eating education that is taught in a ‘kitchen’ classroom ¬†using produce from the school garden. Established in Victoria, the program is now run nationally and the Foundation is keen to receive applications from Government Schools in remote and regional areas of Australia. The 2009 call for grant applications to support required infrastructure is now open and closes October 20.
